When was the last time you were surprised in a good way? Jesus does the unexpected! For those who will go beyond mere belief, for those who will act, Jesus will always show up in unexpected ways.
- Zacchaeus climbed a tree – Jesus came to his house.
- Thomas said he wouldn’t believe unless he saw for himself. Jesus showed up and said “Put your hands in my wounds…”
- Grieving Mary and Martha saw their brother raised from the dead.
- The worn out fishermen were blessed by simply casting their net on the other side of the boat.
- Mary at the tomb was comforted by the risen Christ himself.
I could go on but Jesus loves to do the unexpected and He’s waiting to do it for you. Luke 11:10 tells us to act – to ask, to seek, and to knock and when we do, God will show up.
Because of Easter, you and I can expect the unexpected and when we do, life is never the same again.
Ramp it up! I promise if you will be intentional about bringing someone with you this Easter Sunday, you’ll experience what it means to “expect the unexpected.”
